It isn't 7-OH; that’s correct — it’s a different molecule. But the action covers a category, not a single compound: concentrated, lab-refined kratom derivatives. Pseudo and 7-OH both sit inside it, so both were named.

How is pseudoindoxyl different from 7-OH?

Both start as mitragynine. 7-OH is one oxidation step away; pseudoindoxyl goes further and rearranges into a different molecular structure. In practice, users generally described 7-OH as faster and more pronounced, and pseudoindoxyl as smoother and longer-running.

Is regular kratom affected?
